Just another Minnesota Mom blog.

I audit. That’s what I do.

1st day in the new store- YEAH!!!
8th day in the new store- um, can I get some help with this???

So, setting an aisle at a time or even a department at a time is one thing. Setting an entire store over the course of 3 days is insane. Walking through and finding every little missing thing- one peghook at a time is mind numbing- and has already taken longer than it took to set in the first place.

I get to AUDIT the mess. Lucky me. I know I know, I signed up for this. I am super pumped to be here but my god it just does not end. You start at one end and by the time you get to the other end you need to go back to where you started. I have four different sheets to fill out when I come to each aisle and now I have to go back and make it a little bit easier for those working the endless freight- and point out the exact locations where we are missing fixtures that may “impede the stocking process”. I would rather have one nice sheet- use a highlighter perhaps and start taking this all down. Patience.

Like you couldn’t figure it out by looking at it that the Furnace Filter Fixture is missing and you need to just leave the boxes there…no, I get to make another trip through and make a new sign. Seriously, with all the stuff on the ends of my aisles, I don’t know who’s going to pay attention to any of it.

Our next shipment of signing comes on the 20th, so until then I’ll be trying to find that single peghook or wire fencing that is needed in the various aisles missing random things- get this shit cleaned up.

Other then that, it’s pretty awesome. This store is so fricken huge- why the stockroom is split apart from receiving is beyond me, but we’ll figure that out. I can’t wait for Starbucks to open- I’m in total withdrawl.
