Just another Minnesota Mom blog.

Nothing better than standing in line after 10 hours of work.

Even better if it’s REALLY cold. Why do it? Because I’m from Minnesota and there is nothing more exciting this time of year than standing in line in the freezing cold with hundreds of other people who are there to nab the new Cities97 Sampler. It’s only in stores for a brief 20 minutes or so- I wasn’t even in the store before people were already walking out with their new CD. This purchase isn’t for me, but for my mom and only one song jumped out at me- Hey There Delilah.

I love this song. I could listen to it over and over. I know. I’m too old to be the Fall Out Boy loving girl that I am- seriously I think we were the oldest people at the show that weren’t chaperoning young kids. Never mind the fact that my husband did the worm across the pavement to win better tickets…

I’m not afraid to say it. I love FOB, Plain White T’s, The All American Rejects (the only thing from Oklahoma I love)- you name it, I probably love it. Probably have the CD and have maybe seen them live.

I do love local music too. So I guess they probably cancel each other out on the coolness scale. On the 30th our very favorite local band These Modern Socks is opening for Tapes n Tapes- probably the local band mostly widely known across this great nation- at the Triple Rock (and it’s FREE!) come one come all.
