It was lovely, not sure what I’ll be making next week.
I am the proud owner of a 20 pound turkey. Not sure what I’m going to do with that, but at $0.45/lb I wasn’t going to pass it up. The ham went over extrememly well and my husband eats turkey like it’s going out of style, so the worst that can happen is we have sandwiches for a week, right? Maybe a week from Sunday I’ll brine that baby and roast her up.
My Mom brought me a copy of my Dad’s grandpa’s immigration/ naturalization papers- pretty cool actually. He came through Boston, which may be part of my love for the place, I don’t know, I like to think that I’m linked to my past like that. Also, his mother’s middle name was Charlotte. A name that I have loved for a long time and now can happily claim as a “family name” if ever the time shall come.
