We had another growth ultra sound on Friday and things are looking really good! Fluid is good, both babies are sharing like they should and the perinatologist was thrilled that there are still no signs of TTTS.
Baby A gave us a little more face time this round and the tech had a lot of fun checking out his/her little 4-chamber heart. No hands over the face action here. Baby A is “butt down breech with head to the right” still doesn’t want to turn over but we’ve still got time.
Baby B, although a little less accommodating when it came to checking out the heart did give us a little bit of a show at the end when s/he showed off some new skills- sucking and swallowing! Baby B is T-boned across the top “transverse with head to left”. I think this might be why I’ve been so uncomfortable the last week or so.
Baby B has caught up size wise, actually surpassing Baby A in weight- they are estimated to be 1 pound 8 ounces and 1 pound 10 ounces. That seems like a lot of baby to me but I was assured that twins taper off at the end. I was also told Scandinavians have big twins…
