Wyatt spent most of the night watching his monkey. He’d eat, get put into his crib not quite asleep and minutes later we’d hear the rainforest over the monitor. Then we’d hear Lincoln, who was not so happy to hear the rainforest in the next crib.
So I’d go in, get Lincoln, turn off the rainforest and try to get Lincoln back down. As soon as I’d leave the room the rainforest was back on and there was a very smiley Wyatt basking in the blue glow of the rainforest.
What a smart kid!
He kept it up pretty much all night long, it must be like a baby rave or something. I’m pretty sure he’s exhausted.
So when we finally got up for the day, at 5:40am…we turned on Sesame Street. Yes. And I put them in their swings and pointed them towards the TV. Yes. I did that. And I we ate our breakfast in peace, not holding babies for once.
I think they are just excited to see who this Elmo character is who is adorning their diapers that we talk about every time we change their pants. As in “Ooh you’ve got Elmo on your pants!” or “Who is this little orange girl on your pants, must be Elmo’s friend!” or “Lincoln, why do you always have Cookie Monster on your pants? Because you like cookies?”
Uh oh, here come the Reading Rainbow! John is singing the theme song…
