Car Seats.

Okay gals, I need some help.

The boys are probably going to need new rides by the end of the year. Well, once they hit the 32″ limit after 1 year. We’ve got them in the Graco Safeseat which has been really great but we’re on our top notch for straps and they are growing by leaps and bounds.

I’d like to keep them rear facing for longer. They’re already well past the minimum weight for front facing now so anything after a year will be good for me. I think most have an extended RF weight of 33-35 pounds.

I have a small car. It’s paid for. I know a good car tire resource and where to get all accessories I need. I’d like to continue to drive it and have a little room in there for groceries if possible.

I did fall in love with the Combi Coccoro but it’s really tiny (16″ wide, 21″ high)- so I don’t think the boys would actually be able to use it for long. See how cute? See how compact? See how it is such a great idea but would probably never work with two boys who seem to double in size every few months?

My second option is the Maxi-Cosi Priori. Not as compact (19″ wide, 25.5″ tall) as the Combi but still smaller than others. I’d get three extra inches out of this one as it’s got a 43″ height limit and it has a rear facing max weight of 35 pounds. Also, very cute.

What are you using? The Britax just seem so big and bulky and, not cute.

I heart the combi, and I REALLY wanted it, but I wasn't willing to lose out on the extended front facing, I want 65lbs, but I'll take 50…so anyway, the point of this, is that I've ordered a recarro marked down on diapers.com from 289 to 140 and I'll let you know how it fits in the honda…of course the britax roundabout would fit in the honda just fine, and it's 35 rear facing and 50 forward….go to babiesrus, grab the models, and have the associate go with you to your car to try them out.

Your boys are absolutely adorable. You have a picture a few posts down of Wyatt that looks just like one of my friend's children – just adorable! I have no input on car seats, though. My little girl will probably be in a rear facing car seat until she's about 7!! (A year old and only 17 pounds!) Thanks for visiting my blog!

If you go to the blog frog, there was just a discussion about car seats. The Kyle David Miller Foundation has some great recommendations. The Graco MyRide (??) is pretty nice and is RF up to 40 pounds, I think! The discussion was just last weekend so should be easy to find! I just bought my kids new car seats based on that discussion! HTH! Good Luck

We have the Evenflo Triumph x2.
I have ZERO complaints. They are HUGE. So there is no room to sit between them in the back seat, but… I don't know that any are really small. I picked them after going to BRU and just checking them out. They do give a small discount if you buy two of the same thing — a twin discount, I think.
