Not only do we have teeth (still only 1/4 have popped through) but we have actual forward movement in the crawling department.

Wednesday we got our new Skip Hop floor (the octagon should come this week!)and as soon as we set it up Wyatt used that little bit of extra traction to crawl to his new favorite toy.

Grandpa John you’ll be happy to know those Washington Nationals baseball blankets have not been wasted on these boys. It’s the only thing Wyatt will crawl to so far. We tried so hard to keep them local with baseball but I think the crying at the Dome and now the crawling for the Nationals stuff- we might have to admit the aren’t fans of the American League! We’ll have to try again next year at Target Field. Maybe they need the open air to convince them.

Wyatt has also taken to blowing raspberries. All.The.Time. It’s yayaya plllllfffftttt!!!! Tongue out, spit everywhere. It’s quite endearing actually. Well, when his mouth isn’t filled with plums or spinach.

Lincoln has started giving “High Fives” too. If you put out your hand he’ll put his hand on yours- he won’t actually hit your hand, but he knows what you are asking him to do. We’re trying to get him to do “up high” “on the side” and “down low” too but so far he just responds to plain old “gimme five!”.

And this is just a funny little video of the boys- Lincoln is in the Jump Up.

Today we’re planning on hitting up one of the lakes for a nice long stroll and lunch at Tin Fish. Next Saturday? The boys will be soaking up the State Fair. Birthing Barn, Machinery Hill and food, lots and lots of food. And yes, as always, we do have a food “plan”. Aside from our favorites (Fried Green Tomatoes, Scotch Eggs, Key Lime Pie on a Stick and Lefse) this years new food to try is Peach Glazed Pig Cheeks at Famous Dave’s. We can hardly wait.
