We’ve been trying to implement a few traditions as a family since the boys were born. Annual trips to the 8th Floor Auditorium in the winter, State Fair in the summer and the Apple Orchard in the fall have been at the top of the list. The past two weekends we were able to take part in the last two.
Here are pics from the Fair. Sadly we didn’t get any good shots of the boys that weren’t either a) of them sleeping or b) on the bus ride home. They weren’t very impressed by the fair, even the cows didn’t get their attention.
My family went to the orchard almost every year when I was growing up to pick pecks of apples and Halloween pumpkins. Upon our return home my mom would make her apple bars. So, that’s what we did this weekend. Everyone seemed much better from their colds so we braved the heat (we thought it was going to be nice and cool) and picked some apples. The boys even got to pet a couple of ponies. Wyatt wasn’t too excited about the whole deal but Lincoln sure was!
