Operation Clean My House

Tonight, I’m washing clothes and making baby food so in the wee hours of the mornning my dear Mr. Wonderful can pack up the boys and their clean clothes, fresh food and dirty diapers and go to Grandmas for the day. I will have the house to myself and I will clean. The bathroom, the kitchen, the living room, the- well, you get the picture. The whole damn kit and caboodle if you will.

I’m pumped.

Operation Fall Clean up started tonight with efforts to unclog the slow drain in our bathtub. Yes, I accomplish this task on a near quarterly basis with toxic chemicals and tonight I resorted to Zep- because I was told it’s the best, or better than what I can get at Target at least. I’m not so sure it’s better than Liquid Plumber, but we’ll see.

I’m not a “green” cleaner by any means. I like the smell of bleach and lemon scented Lysol. Sometimes I mix them in the same bucket of water. I do use 7th Generation Lavender Mint dish soap, but only because it’s cheaper than Caldrea and it smells good.

I got myself a new bottle of Lysol and some new Swiffer pads. I’ve got a stack of boxes for the toss-keep-store-donate piles and I’ll try and be honest with how I divide things up. I haven’t watched Hoarders yet but I have a feeling I might be guilty of hoarding mail. Not that I don’t want to part with it, I’m just lazy when it comes to shredding and totally paranoid about identity theft. So there are piles. EVERYWHERE. Tomorrow, they will be gone. Well, they’ll be in one box, so we can shred a bit each day until it’s gone because honestly I could shred all day long and then nothing else would get done. But, the PILES! The piles will be gone.

Oh, and the prize for my efforts? A night on the town! Er, a night at Mac’s with my honey for some good wings and gooder beer. I know gooder isn’t a word, but indulge me. And, wish me luck!

Oh, and I will be turning the computer off. No distractions bloggity blog, Facebook and Twitter! Not tomorrow.

And yes, my Mom is that awesome that I can send a pail of dirty cloth diapers and wipes and get them back all clean and fresh. What a nice grandma!

Zep is the best. does not do good for the enviornment but it sure does get the job done. cleans a really dirty shower when you move into a new place and the shower looks as if it had not even seen soap or shampoo for years… thats when I discovered zep.

Honestly, if someone were to ask, what smells turn you on? I'd have to reply Pinesol . . .

Do individuals still use these? Personally I adore gadgets but I do prefer something a bit much more up to date. Still, nicely written piece thanks. 122567
