We have the boys on the Dr. Sears alternative vaccination schedule. I didn’t want them getting 4 shots at every appointment and didn’t mind going in every other month for a lab visit- we were usually in and out in no time and with Super Nanny along it was never a huge deal. We never missed an appointment, every vaccination is up to date except for the MMR which we are still putting off until 3.
I wanted to keep Judah on the same schedule but I’ve already messed it up. I cancelled his lab appointment the same week I cancelled the boys 2 year appointments and now we’ve got the 4 month appointment coming up and I am feeling like we’re just going to be playing catch up from here on out. This time of year is pretty crazy around here.
So, what now? Do I make the lab appointment as soon as possible and then schedule his 4 month for the end of the month? We’ll be 2-3 weeks behind that way. What’s more important? Getting weighed and measured at the right intervals? Why do I have to be so stubborn about this? Why can’t I just get my kids vaccinated according to the CDC schedule?
