I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I am a big fan of shopping local. Give me local *and* handmade? Even better! I was recently introduced to Siena Soap Company, a family run artisan soap company right here in the Twin Cities!
The first thing that jumps out at me when I visited their website was the varied selection of products. From cold-pressed soaps to balms, lotions, salves and serums- they have just about everything you can think of. All of it natural, all of it handmade. It’s really nice to have options for the entire family.
Yogi Dad has been using the Key Lime and Bay Shave Bar for the past week or so. He just finished up Movemeber where he was shaving everyday and he commented that he wished he had the shave bar during that time because he is getting a cleaner shave and it is leaving his skin so soft and smooth. It’s even better than using shaving cream! Personally, I like how it smells- I have always had a thing for that spicy Bay rum scent and this bar really delivers.
As a cloth diapering Mom I am always on the lookout for cloth diaper friendly diaper rash creams. We don’t get a diaper rash very often, but when we do it’s always a hassle making sure we can get rid of the rash without ruining our diapers in the process. Some ingredients are big no-no’s as they will render your diapers unable to absorb. Of course you can always use a disposable liner but with wiggle worms like mine, I really can’t add an extra item to my diapering routine. Baby Balm to the rescue! I can’t find one ingredient listed that would be bad for cloth diapers. All Natural. Home made. Safe for my cloth diapers. Siena Soap Company Baby Balm is a winner!
Last but not least, I want to talk about the Karma Spa Bar. A mixture of organic sea salt and coconut, avocado and palm christi oils are the base for blend of essential oils including patchouli, orange, lavender, pine, lemongrass, elemi and gardenia. This bar has a great spicy scent which I enjoy very much. The lotion-like lather is totally luxurious and rinses away leaving behind perfectly moisturized skin.
