Cloth diaper giveaway event!

Welcome to day number 18 of 30 Days of Dipes! Today is sponsored by:

30 Days of Dipes Motherlove

To continue with the theme of cloth diaper accessories, today I have a giveaway for a Trio of Salves (Green Salve, Nipple Cream and the Diaper Rash & Thrush) from Motherlove , Jen is featuring GoGo Naturals and a DinkleDooz OS over at Life With Levi and Lori is featuring Old School Cool over at The Gnome’s mom!

The Dirty Details:

Eventually, it happens to everyone: diaper rash.  We tend to see less of it with cloth diapers than some of our full-time disposable wearing counterparts, but it does happen.  When it happens, we are faced with a few options- switch to disposables until the rash is gone, using whatever diaper cream we can get our hands on.  Use a disposable liner between the diaper and our babies bums, again using whatever we have on hand.

Or, we could just use a cloth diaper friendly cream or salve and skip the extra steps.

Personally, I am not a fan of disposable liners.  I find them awkward to use and too much hassle.  For a long time I just switched to disposables if we had a rash because I had about 9 gallons of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste from when the twins were born.  People really got a kick out of the name and figured we’d need a lot of it with twins.  We never really needed it so it lasted forever, I actually ended up tossing quite a few unopened tubes because they had passed their expiration date.  I suppose that is a win for cloth diapers right there!

But we are past the age of BBP in our house and now I like to keep it simple.

Enter Motherlove diaper rash & thrush.  This stuff is amazing!

A little redness after long night?  Smooth a little of this on and the redness is gone by naptime.  No hunting for my roll of liners (which let’s be honest is just another thing for the cats and the boys to find and roll out) no thick goopy mess that I need to wipe off my fingers, no residue getting on every article of clothing that comes within 3 feet of the the diaper changing station.

We have only had 2 major rashes (both after changes in detergent) so I didn’t get to try this out on anything really severe, thankfully,  but I do like what I see.

Motherlove diaper rash & thrush has 6 ingredients and I’m guessing you can pronounce all of them: extra virgin olive oil, beeswax, Oregon grape root, myrrh gum, yarrow herb and calendula flower.

That is it!  No fish oils that cause stinky diapers (anything touting vitamins A and D is made with fish oils) no zinc oxide, no petroletum.  So stinky, repelling diapers should not be an issue after using this.  Add in the extra added bonus of being helpful for thrush (Judah and I had thrush for 3 months- not fun!) and you’ve got me hooked, I love a multi-tasker.

I think this is the perfect addition to every stash- save yourself some time and cut to the chase.  Get a good cloth diaper friendly salve and be done with the extra song and dance while getting rid of diaper rash.  You will be happy you did!

I love Motherlove products! I've used their Diaper Rash and Thrush ointment on both of my kids, and their tinctures for boosting milk supply are great.
