The giveaway today is a JOINT giveaway which means you will see the same Rafflecopter form on all 3 blogs- you will also see a super spectacular prize:

A 6-Pack of CUSTOM Diapers!

The Dirty Details:

I was kind of getting pocketed out.  Pocket after pocket, after awhile, things start to look, well, the same!  Then this diaper shows up on my doorstep and I’m once again excited about pockets.

Day Use: 5.0Bums Up

Overnight Use: 4.0 Bums Up

Ease of Use: 5.0 Bums Up

Quality: 5.0 Bums Up

Overall: 4.75 Bums Up

(Excuse my phone pics- I had a toddler with the wiggles!)

Daytime Use: Perfectly absorbent, perfectly trim, perfectly cute.  Perfect.  If I could give it a 10 I would.

30 Days of Dipes Three Monkeys giveaway

Overnight Use: This diaper almost did it on it’s own.  How many times have I been able to say that this month?  I was sent two different soakers- one was made out of Zorb II which I LOVE- it has 6x the absorbency of cotten on it’s own, it’s super duper soft, can be placed next to baby’s skin and I’m seriously thinking about replacing some of my prefolds with these.  The other insert is a multi-function bamboo fleece soaker (pictured below) this almost got us through the night.  I don’t know if the stars aligned or what, but it was a good night.

30 Days of Dipes Three Monkeys

ETA: The Zorb II soaker is a $2 upgrade, the diapers come with the multi-function bamboo soaker shown below.  both are EXCELLENT!  She also sells the Zorb II soakers separately.

30 Days of Dipes Three monkeys

Ease of Use: It’s a pocket, it’s easy.  There are 4 snaps so you get a nice snug fit.  I like the 4 across better than three, it was very easy to know right where they were going, no guess work.  The pocket isn’t huge but it’s plenty easy to stuff.

30 Days of Dipes Three Monkeys

Quality: This quality of this diaper is superb.  The sewing is fantastic, the attention to detail is amazing, the fact that I got two top of the line inserts blows my mind.  I cannot say enough good things about this diaper.

Overall: I like it.  I like it very very much.  It’s definitely making me reconsider pockets.

Buy It!

Three Monkeys is giving away a 6 pack of CUSTOM OS Pocket Diapers!  Remember, this is a joint giveaway so you will see the same Rafflecopter form at each of our sites.  There is only 1 prize and there will only be 1 winner.  Good Luck!

I'm intrigued by the zorb option. Do you think a pocket diaper just stuffed with zorb would work well, or is zorb slow to absorb like hemp (where you usually put cotton or microfiber inserts on top of it)? This looks like a really nice diaper!

  2. 2 erinclot said at 9:24 am on January 21st, 2012:

It absorb very quickly but I just did a quick search and read that Zorb II can be prone to compression leaks (like cotton) so it is best combined with a liner of some sort- like organic bamboo fleece.

I have never used zorb but I would love to give it a go 🙂 I do LOVE bamboo inserts tho! I have a feeling I would be a big fan of this diaper! Hopefully I can win it b/c the diaper budget is pretty low at this time 🙂

I was really excited to see the inserts when they came- I had never heard of Zorb II until that day. It's fun to find new things in the cloth diapering world.

I'm still new to the cloth diaper world – Thanks for your review on this … with our first baby coming in July, I've been researching all kinds of cloth diaper options! I'll be keeping Three Monkeys in mind!

Congratulations! Try not to get overwhelmed, there is a lot of information here. I know when I started out looking at cloth diapers before my twins were born I felt like I was in another world. Once you start using cloth diapers it all starts to make sense.

It sounds like a really high quality diaper. The sewing is really important to me when buying new diapers because I plan on using my cloth through 3 children so I want it to withstand all of the washes!

These look great. I can't believe how many prints are offered and the ZorbII option is interesting. My little one hasn't had any leaks overnight yet but she's still little. I'll have to keep those inserts in mind for the future.

I have never heard of ZORB being used as an option for diapers only for Mama Cloth, though I have never used it I am interested in seeing how it compares to other methods of absorbtion myself… thanks for the review =)

  18. 18 Denise Taylor said at 1:23 pm on January 21st, 2012:

The zorb upgrade for $2 is an amazing option. It works great for mama cloth so I would imagine it makes for a very absorbent insert.

  19. 19 Lauren said at 1:55 pm on January 21st, 2012:

Love all the prints and the option for zorb!

  20. 20 bonnye s said at 1:58 pm on January 21st, 2012:

so I will be honest- my experience with SAHM made pocket diapers has not been a good one. I have found them to have more bulk and more leaks than the ones I buy from the bigger manufacturers- and just never find myself reaching for them- even though I was able to get some AWESOME custom prints. This GLOWING post makes me wonder if I am just trying the wrong vendors?! I dont know but I hope I win this one so I can have my mind change by this awesome diaper making mama.

Wow, three gushing reviews, makes me think I haven't tried the right WAHM venues. Love that there's such a great selection of prints, love that you can choose your insert and lining! Haven't tried zorb yet, but I'd love to get the chance, it looks promising!

I'm really excited about these…the zorb, the prints, and a diaper that almost does the work itself! 🙂 I'm planning on doing a cloth diaper trial when my first baby arrives in April but I may go ahead and try one of these since they sound so great. I wish I knew if covers, pockets, and AIO's all work well for newborns though…

  23. 23 erinclot said at 2:50 pm on January 21st, 2012:

It all really depends on the shape of your baby. Mine all had skinny legs so most pockets and AIO's leaked right out the legs. I did have some success with Thirsties Newborn covers and infant prefolds because I could get them nice and tight around the legs but we failed with everything else for the first few months. We tried though, you just keep revamping as they get bigger. I have heard that newborn fitteds like kissaluvs are the best but I have not tried those. You can usually find a newborn rental package which helps to get through that tiny short-lived newborn stage.

  24. 24 Erin said at 2:45 pm on January 21st, 2012:

Wow! These dipers sound great! I love al the prints!I have a few zorb inserts already, and they work great.

These are great looking diapers. I have one WAHM diaper with a Zorb insert and it really is amazing stuff

  26. 26 Olivia L said at 2:55 pm on January 21st, 2012:

It seems to be getting more and more rare that diapers that come with one insert, let alone two. I love that this comes as a complete package, no need to buy the insert separately. I have a heavy wetter, so another mom intrigued by zorb over here.

  27. 27 erinclot said at 3:04 pm on January 21st, 2012:

It comes with the multi-function bamboo but you can upgrade to the Zorb II insert, you can also buy the Zorb II insert separately. I was just tickled that it wasn't another microfiber insert!

I'd like to start by saying THANK YOU to Erin for her glowing review!! I am so happy to hear my customer love my diapers as much as I do 🙂 I have a collection of many brand named diapers and out of all of them I love my own the best (of course I am a little biased). I am a left-handed Capricorn, which makes it virtually impossible to sell anything that is less than top quality. I truely love making each and every diaper for my fans!

Not to mention the cute designs that they have available, I love that this is a pocket diaper. Customizable is the way to go at our house. I also use prefolds (from Green Mountain Diapers) because my girl is such a HEAVY wetter, but after your review of the zorb, I def think I should try it. I think the bulky prefolds do an amazing job but they are pretty bulky and I think, in the long run, they might just stretch out the leg elastic faster so the elastic doesn't last as long. (shoulder shrug) I hope to win so I can really try these bad boys out. Thanks!

I like that this is a pocket that doesn't assume stuffing with microfiber.

I don't think I've ever heard of this brand before, and I'm surprised after reading all of your reviews. I need to check out this Zorb stuff too. I like that this diaper held up for you overnight as well.
