OK, I have talked about this before, here and on Facebook and in various groups but I am going to talk about it again.

I struggle with getting water into my diet.

Big time.

I have never been a huge water drinker, but I’m also not someone who is constantly sipping on something anyways. Not Diet Coke, not juice, not coff- well, I do sip on a single cup of coffee for most of the day. But that’s really about it.

Adding water to my routine is not as easy as replacing something I am already drinking. It’s starting a whole new habit of drinking all day long.

And I fail at this. Time and again.

I am failing now.

My favorite tactic has always been a new water bottle. We’ve got enough reusable bottles to cover every member of the family for every day of the week. Different shapes, sizes, colors and materials. (The collection is one of those things that makes me feel like we are headed into hoarder territory at any moment.)

This time around I procured a glass water bottle. I’m over plastic and I’m not a super huge fan of the stainless steel so it was the obvious choice.

Is it making me drink more water?

Kind of. I mean, I am keenly aware of it at all times and when I see it, I either take a sip or fill it up. I fill it up in the morning and try and drink 16 ounces right then and there before I fill it up again. I sip on it until lunch and it I haven’t finished it by then I chug another one down.

I have had very few days where I have gotten my recommended 100 ounces in. More like like 50-60 on a good day and I still have days where I leave it in the strainer and revert back to my coffee.

But, I really like this bottle. It feels good in my hands, it doesn’t get all sweaty like the stainless steel ones do. The water tastes great in it and I like that I don’t have to take off the cap to drink, just a quick twist up or down opens it. Plus it’s cute.

So far I am doing *better* in my struggle with water than I ever have, but I have plenty of room for improvement.

Do you have a favorite water bottle? Do you have an out of control water bottle collection?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I, too, have a horrible problem drinking enough water and drink only about 16 ounces a day like you said in an earlier post. Maybe a new water bottle will up my water drinking mojo…off to find a glass bottle I think (didn't know these existed!)–can you tell me which one you liked b/c the not having to take the cap off sounds convenient for a lazy drinker like me?

ebc- I got this one (I'm kind of partial to the bird thing!) http://www.reuseit.com/store/glass-water-bottle-p… There is a piece on the top that just screws up or down to close it. I wasn't sure I would like it but I find it really handy. There have been a few moments where I forget to close it and then I end up accidentally dumping it all over me but that's more operator error than anything.
