Reason Number 3,457 why I Love the Internet

You know that period of time when you are trying to have a baby or you know you are pregnant but you just don’t want to spill the beans to your friends and family yet but every fiber of your being wants to shout it from the rooftops?  Or maybe you are ted to your nest with a newborn and you need a peek at the outside world without leaving the comfort of your nursing nook?

The Internet was designed for moments like this.

Well, maybe not *specifically* for this, but needing an outlet for news like this was pretty much my gateway to social media. For me it was my blog and iVillage (I was never much for Babble and I always heard terrible things about the Bump bringing cattiness to new levels). With both pregnancies it was the very first place I went as soon as I had a positive pregnancy test. I’m really not one for keeping secrets like this.

I probably started by obsessively searching for something like “signs of pregnancy” and then stumbled upon the expecting club forums and then between the BFP, finally being able to punch in a date on Bounty.com’s pregnancy calculator, and the actual delivery, I never left!

Through the years, I have appreciated being “in the trenches” with other women who were going through similar things. I have loved that I can type any question into Google (or Twitter) at 3am (“Is my baby secretly a vampire?”) and get answer or simply some reassurance that I’m not alone in this parenting thing.

Did you belong to any expecting clubs or parenting groups while you were pregnant?

I think we both have the reason why we love the internet and base on my observation, many people might also have similar reason. Thank you for sharing this because I was able to relate from it.

Well, this one of the many benefits of the world being connected the way it is today. You can actually go to places you've never been before by just a couple of mouse clicks at the comfort of your own home. Spares you of the hassles really. pregnancy test reviews
