Thanks Mama+BG Freetime {A Cloth Diaper Review}

One of the most well known cloth diaper companies is sadly underrepresented in my stash: Cotton Babies.  While my newborn stash is made up of mostly Bum Genius and Cotton babies prefolds, once you get past that teeny tiny phase, I have a few Flip covers and that is it!  I was very excited when Thanks Mama offered to send me a BG Freetime to review for the Mother’s Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway.

Day Use: 5.0Bums Up

Overnight Use: 3.0 Bums Up

Ease of Use: 5.0 Bums Up

Quality: 5.0 Bums Up

Overall:4.50 Bums Up

Daytime Use: The BG Freetime AIO is perfect for daytime.  It’s trim as can be, easy to get on and off and has just the right absorbency for daytime.

Overnight Use: On it’s own, the BG Freetime isn’t enough to get through the night without a leak.  Because the rise is fairly short, if I added and extra insert we had issues with the fit around the waistband.  Of course we are talking about my boys- they haven’t met many diapers that can stand up to their nighttime wetting.

Ease of Use: It really doesn’t get any easier than this. There are two snaps on each flap so there is really no guessing as to where that third snap should go.  This is an AIO which can sometimes be a pain to dry with all of those layers.  not so with the BG Freetime!  The inserts are sewn in at each end so they conveniently flap open while washing and drying, cutting the dry time down substantially.

Quality: I think this a great quality diaper.  I love the inner flaps, I love the vibrant colors, I love that Cotton Babies and Bum Genius is a name I have come to know and trust over the past few years.

Overall: I really like this diaper and have found myself reaching for it time and again over the last few weeks.  My only issue is that the rise seems very short compared to other diapers in my stash and with 3 kids n cloth diapers (all pushing 30 pounds or more) I don’t see this diaper sticking around for too much longer.  That said, I would definitely think this diaper has a place in every stash.

    I would be so excited to win this diaper! I love Bum Genius! We have a few of the 4.0s but I haven’t gotten to try the AIO dipes yet! My sweet girl is very petite, so I appreciate a short rise on her diapers. A new BG AIO would be a great addition to our stash! 🙂
