What I Expect(ed) While I was Expecting {A FLASH Giveaway!}

Way back when in 2008, I really thought pregnancy was going to be as breezy as getting pregnant seemed to be.

I took some prenatal vitamins, paid attention to my cycle and BOOM! we were pregnant.  It must have been something in the water.

The first few weeks (I think it was 6 weeks when I first started to experience morning sickness) were utter bliss.  We had this huge secret that we couldn’t tell anyone until the precisely right moment.  It was a pretty awesome secret to have.

And then I got sick.  Which I absolutely expected.  I mean every pregnant woman gets sick at least a little bit, right?

I wasn’t sick *just a little bit* though.  I was sick for months on end.  Something I absolutely did not expect.

I also didn’t expect spontaneous identical twins.  A much more welcome surprise!

I think seeing them both on the ultrasound monitor further solidified the fact that I needed to expect the unexpected!

When we decided to try for a 3rd child, I knew from day one that my best bet was to start taking a prenatal vitamin as soon as possible (who knew how long I would be able to keep them down once I was pregnant) and then cross my fingers and hope things went a little bit better this time around.  We were hopeful that the extreme nausea could be attributed to the multiple pregnancy.

It wasn’t.

Soooo……NEXT time (and I’m hoping there will be a next time!) we kind of know what we are up against.  I don’t even have a date to start trying but I am already taking prenatals.  It can’t hurt.

Now for the fun part!

Centrum Specialist PreNatal is on the lookout for new or soon-to-be moms to attend an exclusive Minneapolis screening of the movie What to Expect When You’re Expecting starring lots of completely fabulous people!

Winners will receive 2 tickets, a giftbag (Swag!), a fun T-Shirt (Chic Clothes!) to commemorate the event as well as a mini photo opp before the event (Red Carpet!). Just like a regular premier!

Also, you’ll get a chance to meet me in person. (THRILLING!)

Now I need everyone to act FAST on this as the screening is next Monday, May 14th at the Showplace ICON Theatre at West End in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.  If you have a new mom or expectant mom in your life that lives in the Twin Cities area- PLEASE, pass this on! Of course, all moms are welcome to enter.

I’m going to make this easy- the giveaway will end on Thursday May 10th at 2pm EST. (I know the RC form says midnight but I can’t change that- I will be ending the giveaway at 2pm so I can get on with verifying and contacting the 4 winners

Did I mention there will be 4 Winners?! I’m giving away 4 sets of 2 tickets!

Good Luck!

Can't wait to see this movie! Just had my tiny bundle 2 weeks ago……I expected to feel like a ball of beautiful, instead I just felt like a giant ball, only instead of rolling around with grace, I waddled around and ran into everything cause I was not used to my GIANT belly getting in my way (or not being able to see what I was stepping on)

I was so surprised to have twins for my first pregnancy! It was so exciting, but I was even more surprised when they arrived 9 weeks early. They spent 6 weeks in the Special Care Nursery at Abbott and had a long road the first few weeks, but now are completely happy healthy wonderful kiddos!
