KLUTCHclub {A Review}

So, this healthiness journey I am on has kind of stalled out since the regular school year ended for the boys. I had a very short window to get to the gym when they were in school and now that has been pretty much closed completely since the pool schedule doesn’t jive with their current schedule. I wish I had a backyard pool, I’m about going crazy wanting to get back in the pool.

Thankfully, with the heat of the summer and not ever wanting to eat anything and instead drinking my weight in water, I haven’t gained back every pound I have lost. It surprised the hell out of me, let me tell you.

I have been trying to get into the routine of doing things here at the house, but am failing miserably at that as well. The h=incessant heat just saps all the energy away. By the time the boys go down for the night, I am an exhausted heap that just wants to curl up in bed and watch the Daily Show. Which is impossible now since DirecTV is in a standstill with Viacom, but that is another story.

Back to healthiness. It’s not all about what I eat or how much energy I expend. Sometimes it’s about taking time for ME. To relax and unwind and take care of my body in other ways, so I can be a happier, healthier person.

KLUTCHclub is a monthly subscription service
that delivers a box of items to help you address the healthiness of your body, mind and spirit.

My box came with the following items:

Kristin McGee’s Power Yoga DVD
$25 Giftcard for Yoga Hyde
ZICO Coconut Water
Tea Forte SKIN-SMART tea
Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Kind Bar
Enjoy Life Plentils and No Nuts! Seed and Fruit Mix
Barlean’s Organic Oils Omega Swirl Flax and Fish Oil supplement
Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Wash
HyDrive Energy Drink Mix

Upon opening the “Spring Clean Your Body” box it was a mad dash to divide up the goods- so many healthy snacks and fun things in this box! I am happy to say I scored the Kind Bar. Dark Chocolate is a girl’s best friend, there is no way that was going to my husband.

My favorite things out of this box have been the Barlean’s Omega Swirl Flax and Fish Oil supplement and the Shea Terra Organics Deep Pore Facial Wash.

I’m used to taking supplements in pill form and the Barlean’s was a liquid. It’s Mango Peach flavored and has a smooth texture- like a smoothie. Even Judah will request to have a spoonful- “Fats Daddy? Fats peas?”. If that doesn’t tell you how good they are, I’m not sure what will. You can take them straight off a spoon or mix it into food or a smoothie.

The Shea Terra Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore facial wash was something I broke out before our trip last week. I only have one experience with black soap, and it wasn’t a great one so I was a bit hesitant to be smearing it all over my face. But, my need for something pampering and my curiosity got the best of me and I just went ahead with it.

Pics or it Didn’t Happen

I love this stuff.

We have been outside a lot this summer and I haven’t been the best at getting sunscreen on myself. I ran out of my favorite facial cleanser awhile back and haven’t gotten around to ordering it and have instead been using an inferior drugstore brand that has left my skin feeling bumpy and gross. The words “Micro-dermabrasion in a bottle” had me hoping to get rid of some of these issues I was having.

And it kind of did. My face immediately felt better- like that little layer of icky, oily, can’t get it entirely clean was gone. I really don’t know how to describe it. I suppose it was just dead skin clinging to the surface for dear life. I still have some bumps, but even that isn’t as obvious to me as it was before.

It may not be an awesome workout in the pool (or many awesome workouts in the pool)- but they both of these things made me feel great. Like I was doing something good for me and my body. And I will take that anywhere I can get it!

Check out KLUTCHclub– I am really loving these subscriptions services, they would make a great gift for those hard to buy for people in your life. They just released KLUTCHmen (perfect for my husband)!

Disclosure: I was sent a box for the sake of review. All opinions are mine.

AGREED! I got the same promo but stupidly signed up for three months plus one free. They send you like $5 an overpriced ecommerce store with yoga pants you can buy anywhere. Riiiight.
