Toddler Date and a Review {Noodles & Company}

We have finally settled into a routine after all of the winter holidays and the ever present sickness that was running through our house, making it difficult to get through a week without someone staying home form school. One of the things we have started to do is go on dates with Judah.

Some days it’s just me and Judah. Some days, if Yogi Dad is working from home, we all go.  We are really trying to give him some undivided attention, considering how difficult that is at times with all the chaos in our house.  He is a total Mama’s Boy, so he loves our little dates and is always a great dining companion.  Especially if you get dessert, or in some cases, a sweet appetizer while we wait for our lunch to arrive!

A few weeks ago, after an excursion to Target, Judah and I dropped in to Noodles & Company to try their new slow-braised, naturally raised pork.

Noodles & Company Pork Mac

I was kind of drooling over the Barbecue Pork Mac- one of my all-time favorite pairings is pulled pork with macaroni and cheese on the side. I figured Judah would like it, but he opted for “no sauce”, so, we had it sans sauce. It was pretty good, even without barbecue sauce and crunchy onion bits, I’m sure it would be amazing with that extra tang.

I also ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles, with the slow-braised pork and it was a pretty perfect pairing. We usually order this with the chicken or steak but I think the pork is better than both of those options!  Of course Judah proceeded to eat most of what was on my plate- including the cilantro!

They also have a Peppery Pork Sandwich which looks like a Memphis style pulled pork sandwich (coleslaw on top) that I bet would be wonderful. I always love a good pulled pork sandwich and from what I can tell, Noodles & Company has pretty much nailed it with theirs.

We usually hit up Noodles about once a month, it’s an easy dinner for us and the boys always love to try different dishes (Japanese Pan Noodles and Steak and Mushroom Stroganoff are two we get almost every time).  Because we are currently attempting to go Gluten-Free, I was happy to see that they do have gluten free options. They cannot guarantee there is not cross-contamination, but knowing that there are rice noodles available and sauces that do not contain gluten makes me very happy!

Do you have a Noodles and Company near you?
What is your favorite dish?
Will you be checking out their new slow-braised pork?

Disclosure:  I was provided free noodles in exchange for a review of the new slow-braised pork at Noodles & Company.  all opinions are my own.

    This is awesome! Noodles is our fave, and I just went gluten free as well. (who knew it was wheat keeping my tummy up all night long?) It's really tough, even when it's just me and my husband.

    And i'm saying alittle prayer that this transition gets easier for you.
