Well from what I've learned online so far (no baby yet) we're starting with some prefolds+covers and AIO's once baby is big enough. So, that's our game plan – we'll see if they change!
I prefer AIO or fitted diapers but I haven't used them in a while as my 4 year old twin boys have been out of diapers for a bit and the newbie won't be here until June.
I am a cloth diaper virgin but am planning to use prefolds as a cheaper alternative to pockets. Although, it seems like pockets or All in ones would be great!

I really like pockets the best. I have recently tried AI2's, and do find them to be more snug, but I find a pocket diaper easier to put on the baby without having to worry about keeping all of the layers together.
I haven't used any CDs(except on stuffed animals!) just yet but I really like AIOs for the convenience. I won't be using them until the LO is big enough to fit one-size, though, so I have a variety to try through the newborn stage.

I really like AI2s. I find pockets to be a little more work and my hubby doesn't like them. I've seen some pockets with dual opening recently, maybe that would simplify it. I also recently started looking into prefolds and really want to give them a try.
